SoloEtte guitars travel all over the surface of the Planet, and beyond, and experience various extremes of humidity and temperature.

The engineering of the SoloEtte allows us to build an instrument that we can guarantee, and you can depend on, all over the world.

The SoloEtte DragonFly is a solid-construction, disassembling frame-design, performance instrument with an on-board headphone amplifier.

The frame comes apart and fits into a small carrying case.

The features of disassembling portablility, combined with the extremely durable rugged construction, provide a bright new innovative concept for the serious musician.

The Price:

Tuning Because the gears are at the other end, this guitar is 5 inches shorter. This reorientation of the gears creates balance and offers superior tuning access, Tuning from this end is probably the way it should have been all along, but was not available to standard stringed instruments when tone propagation from thin woods would be hampered by heavy tuning mechanisms.

Due to the design of the SoloEtte guitar, the area behind the bridge is available for tuners. A Classical guitar pegbox fits perfectly here, does not need to tilt back, and can be made stronger and thicker because the strings are spread wider. It is so nice to hold one string at the 5th fret and keep holding it while you tune the other string until it is perfect. Or tune while holding a chord and keep holding it with your left hand while you tune it.

Body wood is Padauk Padauk is from Andaman Islands (India) or Africa. It is a rich cinnamon red-brown wood that is very stable. Also available in Hard Rock Maple (Acer Saccharum) "Canadian Maple". Maple sounds the same as the Padauk models.

The frame is solid 1/4" aluminum rod covered w/ black polyurethane tubing. The assembled frame accommodates a standard electric guitar shape and size. The medium size frame piece, which supports your right arm, is the edge outline of your guitar and you can rest the weight of your arm on it so your fingertips will hover over the strings right where you would expect.

Pickups We have chosen two humbucking EMG pickups because of the astounding sweet richness that comes from this combination of Graphite neck, Padauk tone-wood, frame design, and EMG electronics. There is a pickup selector switch located next to the tone and volume knobs.

The neck is constructed of straight grain Hard Rock Maple with an Ebony fingerboard as well as a fully adjustable truss rod and standard electric guitar fretwire. There are 22 frets and it has standard shell side dots and face dots. The scale length is 25 ½ inches. The nut width is 1¾ inches. The string spacing at the bridge is 2 3/16. We also offer this instrument with a graphite neck made by Moses Inc.

The bridge is made by Schaller. The gears are by Gotoh

It comes strung and adjusted for 10's gauge strings. It is inspected, tested, and played by technicians who can play well.
